Specifications

A successor to the 220-A (1948-1953), the model 223 was a simple mono power amplifer with an 18 watt output.

Utilising four valves (1 x 12AX7 AF amp/splitter, 2 x 6L6GB output and a 5AU4GA rectifier), the 223 was a low-budget ($75) piece of equipment and was eventually replaced with the more sophisticated 32-watt model 232.

Current value is in the order of $250 - $450. The pristine example pictured at left was one of a matched pair which recently sold for $976 (for the pair) at internet auction.
