The second to last of Scott's integrated tube amplifiers, the 233 emerged at around the time that Scott's solid-state amps began to appear.

Basically a scaled-down version of the 299C, the 233 used 2 pairs of 7591 output tubes to produce 28 watts per channel. To help cut down production costs the 233 didn't have some of the 299C's extra features such as phase reversal, rumble filter switch and multicoloured front panel function indicator lamps.

Priced at $189.95 in 1964 (down to $159.95 in 1966), today a nice clan working example might reach $400, more if mint or restored.
