The S-9500 was a solid-state budget stereo integrated amplifier with a power rating of 25 watts (music power) per channel (18 watts per channel continuous sine-wave) at one-third percent distortion. Power bandwidth was 12-35,000 cps at 1% distortion. The output circuits had full short-circuit protection.

The S-9500's front panel controls included a function selector (tape-head, phono, tuner and auxiliary), stereo/mono mode selector, bass, treble, loudness and balance. Switches were provided for tape-monitoring, high and low-frequency filters, loudness compensation, phasing and power on/off. A stereo headphone jack was also provided. Tone controls were of the Baxendall type.

Price when new was $179.50 plus $7.50 for the walnut-tone leatherette case. Today's value around $100 for a working, nicely presented example.
